Who we are
Norwood is a leading UK charity that supports Jewish children, families and adults with disadvantage or learning disabilities and wherever possible provides services to the wider community. We believe that everyone should be able to reach their full potential and live life to the full, regardless of disadvantage and disability. Every year we provide thousands of children, families and adults with vital, specialised support.
What we do
Norwood offers a vast range of services designed to meet the needs of people coping with all kinds of issues.
You could be going through a divorce or bringing up children on your own. Maybe your child’s teacher has told you they’ve noticed some disruptive behaviour.
Perhaps you have child with a learning disability or maybe you’re living with a learning disability yourself. Or suspect a member of your family is being abused, physically or emotionally.
Each year Norwood supports thousands of people whatever the issue. We operate an open door service that’s only ever a phone call away.
How you can help
Fundraising is vital to Norwood as many of our services receive little or no government funding at all. We need to raise £9m every year, so that our services can continue to operate and meet the growing demands of the community.

Most phone calls we receive start like this. It's often a parent who will describe a set of concerns or someone who needs support from Norwood.
You may feel confused, a little scared or apprehensive, but at Norwood we can almost certainly help. Norwood operates an open door policy, which means help is only ever a phone call away.
