| Adult Education | 8:00 pm in the Menorah Suite Dan Sacker, the Director of Communications at the JNF, will be talking about ‘Developing the Negev for the 21st century’. The talk will focus on the many challenges Israel is facing and how the JNF is helping to address some of those challenges by contributing to shaping Israel’s landscape. Please note that there will be no appeal. |

| The Council of Christians and Jews |
7:15 pm (note time change), in the Menorah Suite. Tonight's CCJ meeting features guest speaker Dr David Ariel, President of the Oxford Centre for Hebrew and Jewish Studies, who will present an illustrated talk titled "Christians and Jews: The Untold Story of England’s Fascination with Judaism”. Dr. Ariel will be looking at how England has been fascinated with Judaism since the Reformation of Henry VIII. Examples from the history of the University of Oxford and manuscripts from the Bodleian Library will illustrate a positive attitude to Judaism that was coupled with an ambivalent attitudes towards Jews. |
